Thanks my bully friends and warriors, as you know here at Apitome’s Blog we don’t discriminate based on breed, we help all animals!
Starting today I would like to offer to anyone who finds a lost pet, anyone who has lost a pet, or any rescue groups who want to match up pets and their families affected by the hurricane, to post free of charge all listings, posters and inquiries.
You can post a lost add, you can post a found add and you can refer people to the blog for match ups. Each day any emails I receive to email@example.com will be posted in an effort to match people to their pets who may have been inadvertently left, or lost due to the hurricane! Please feel free to share this info or drop me a note so we can network effectively to match people and their pets.
I am deeply sorry to all those affected by the hurricane, and to those whom have lost loved ones, you are all in my thoughts through these trying and scary times.
If you send an email pet pls try to include a picture when possible, it does help!

This was a great article for those on the fence over which dog poses the biggest risk to society and other animals. Thanks Total Dog Magazine, I am sending a huge bark out just for you!
and the most dangerous dog is….
Finally a little truth is spoken, breed absolutely does not play a factor in whether or not a dog will bite. It’s time for people to wake up a tad, and see that it all starts and ends with the human. How do you train, raise, feed, and love your dog? That is key!
Remember that the next time you hear the media shout “Pit Bull” from the roof tops and don’t forget to ask did they check breed DNA or could this one be a ridgeback, or mastiff, or lab too!
I have waited on pins and needles for this to come to Canada, I am hoping that everyone will take part in these wonderful screenings
Please come out everyone, it’s a great chance for people to decide for themselves about pit bulls rather than just letting the Media and the government steer how you think and what you see.
PS the picture is our very new rescued pup Baylee I think she was tired of the photo-op.
I Just found out that Kisha’s grand jury hearing was this afternoon, and there they will decide if there is enough evidence in the case to charge her. They must determine whether she is innocent or guilty, if they find her guilty a felony conviction could be next. The hearing will continue next friday, New Jersey SPCA will be testifying. I certainly hope they will see through her nonsense and take aim at her! It’s time folk’s it’s time for pit bull abusers to face the music. I want to see her behind bars for a very long time, and I would like to see her right to own animals revoked permanently.
While all this goes on Patrick continues to do well here is his updated photo;
Isn’t it amazing what a little food and some TLC can do for a dog! And Kisha, living well is the best revenge, despite all you did to kill him, he still made it! To all of Patrick’s supporters, please note that he still needs you. Please be his voice, stand up and speak out for him. Pit Bull abuse has to stop!
We love you Patrick, you have changed the face of animal abuse, you made it real and no longer acceptable for so many. I wish you never had to endure what you did, I often think wouldn’t it have been nice for you to have only known a tender touch and a mom that cared!

Special thanks to Joshua-Paul Angell and the Examiner for this one! great job guys!
How can anyone support BSL when there is NO proof pit bull are such a threat, but there is however proof of how adaptable, trainable, willing to please and comfort these dogs are. There is proof that they love children, despite what the media and these “Ahem” organizations will have you believe. So to them I will just say…
Go team pit bull! oh and to the haters like PETA and Dogsbite….., BITE ME!
Shelters all across America are euthanizing perfectly good dogs, we all know that, but what’s really behind it? Is it more profitable to kill than it is to find loving homes? These are the questions we need to start asking, why are there no greater measures taken to find these animals homes, and when someone does just that should they be fired?
What ever the shelter’s motivating factor for firing Emily, the end result is almost no one else steeped up to do what she did, and more animals will die needlessly after she is gone. When was the last time you saw a shelter spend any of that money they get on advertising the available dogs?
The answer is almost never, its private citizens, committed employees, and volunteers who bare that burden, photographing these dogs an cats and posting them on various social networking sites in an effort to get them out alive!
Please speak out for Emily Tanen, and in doing so you speak out for the animals as well!
Secial thanks to penny Eims on this one! Now lets do our part to get the word out!
