Today I find myself wondering, hoping, that the right judgement for justice will be laid at the feet of Kisha Curtis. We all know what she is, we all know what she did, and we all know no matter what her mother would like you to believe, she IS an abuser! No if’s and’s or but’s, that is what she is, through and through. She is no stranger to run in’s with the law, she has had her children taken by DCFS in the past, she continues to break the laws we as a society set up to keep order and to protect the weak.
The DA says they can only go by what the LAW will allow them to charge her with, but really, this is just a cop-out, a way of keeping prison over populations down. If lawyers can bend and twist and pervert the system to suit them, to set the guilty free, then why can’t we bend them back to correct a wrong and to more adequately protect the weak in the future?
Mark my words this is not the last abuse that the “Emaciator” will inflict on an innocent animal, it never is! She will simply get better at covering it up. My fears are that we are allowing our society to focus more on the criminals rights, then the rights of the victims. We routinely put the victims needs and rights on the back burner.
As an example a pedophile will molest a child and if caught go to prison, for less than ten years, they will receive counselling, for free, but at the taxpayers expense. When we all know in our hearts there is no way to fix a disturbed mind. They will not have to work, or pay rent or bills, they will troll the internet for future victims, and call it “personal enrichment” They will spend their time in absolutely un productive ways for the most part, while, their victims will have to pay for their counselling, their life will never be the same, they will have to work, pay taxes, which will go to housing their perpetrator, and they will never be the same again.
Now I know what you are thinking, what does a pedophile have to do with a dog abuser? They are one in the same, distrubed and un-repairable. It’s a sign of the times I guess, we all know deep down, whether we want to admit it or not, that these types of people will never change because they can’t. They are damaged goods with bad genes, and no remorse. They will continue to do what they have always done which is abuse.
Be it their child, their wife, their dog, or just the system in general, it will continue. We can reform a thief, we can educate the ignorant, and we can feed the hungry, but we can’t fix the unstable mind of the abuser.
For Patrick’s sake and for all that he endured I pray they do right by him, I cling to my seat holding my breath for fear that they will not. Only time will tell. Tomorrow Kisha will face the judge, and tomorrow will witness either the betterment of our judicial system, or just one more failure. I guess we will have to wait and see but I have to say I am more fearful, than I am hopeful at this point.
