I am sure that many of you remember Mr. Pink (A886495). He was surrendered to the ACC when the person caring for him was arrested. He was severely emaciated, covered with Mange and was the poster boy of neglect. He won the hearts of many and everyone rallied for his rescue. Amsterdog did step up and an amazing foster was found. You would think this would be the end of ACC’s involvement with Mr. Pink but the saga continued….
Someone reached out to me today and I am in shock. It seems that Mr. Pink has been ORDERED back to the shelter so that he can be given back to his owner! The owner (not the man that was in possession of Mr. Pink) claims he was traveling and did not know that Mr. Pink was in trouble. He claims that Mr. Pink’s issues were chronic and that he was caring for him to the best of his ability. He claims that he spent thousands on vet bills and a natural diet. Wow, at first glance it seems like a story book ending, “Mr Pink goes home!”. BUT IT IS NOT!
Others have now come forward that know Mr. Pinks owner. They have volunteered to testify that Mr. Pink was neglected and the owner was using him as a ploy to receive donations. They will testify that the vet Mr Pink was seeing… the Vet that received thousand to care for Mr. Pink, has never heard of the dog or his owner. They will state on record that they offered to assist with vet bills and the owner would only accept cash donations yet he never took Mr. Pink to the vet. They have agreed to cooperate fully to help Mr Pink stay safe, yet the ACC is ignoring them.
Why are the ACC and DOH not pursuing animal cruelty charges? How could they want Mr. Pink returned ASAP, just so he can go back to living with a con artist that has no intention on ever helping Mr. Pink get better!
Here is his medical file when her arrived at the shelter. Well cared for???
01/12/2011 INITIAL PHYSICAL EXAM

We can not let this happen. Mr. Pink is finally safe and receiving the care he deserves. To send him back to a man that has neglected Mr. Pink, lied and has taken money from others is irresponsible and negligent. The ACC must protect Mr Pink.
Please contact the usual players and demand that Mr. Pink be allowed to stay where he is being cared for. Anything less would be a failure on the part of the NYCACC.

***** One other bit of info…. Yes, Mr. Pink was going to be killed by the ACC because of KC, but after Amsterdog agreed to rescue him, the ACC decided to open a cruelty case. Another example of the great minds, hard at work in the ACC! They retained legal authority over the dog and Deb is considered a “foster rescue” until the case is closed. Deb has no legal “ownership” of Mr. Pink : ( *******
THANK YOU FOR YOUR ANTICIPATED ACTION!!!!
